Hi! I’m Joe.

Trauma can leave a lasting imprint—showing up as chronic tension, emotional numbness, anxiety, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Maybe you’re more on edge than you’d like to be, feeling disconnected from yourself, or just plain exhausted. Trauma therapy can help you make sense of these experiences and begin to soften the ways they live in your body and nervous system.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. And healing trauma doesn’t mean you have to relive every painful moment. Instead, we focus on creating safety, presence, and connection—so you can build a new relationship with your past and feel more grounded in the present.

My approach to trauma therapy is practical, embodied, and influenced by mindfulness and transpersonal psychology. This is not just talk therapy—it’s a space to reconnect with your breath, your body, and the quiet sense of knowing that healing is possible. We may work with meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness-based techniques to support you in feeling more at ease, more aligned, and more yourself.

I know this process because I’ve lived it.

I grew up incredibly shy—afraid to ask for what I needed, unsure how to express myself, and always holding everything in. I learned to avoid, to go unnoticed, to keep my emotions tucked away where no one could challenge them. As I got older, I numbed out in the ways a lot of people do—through substances, distraction, and shutting people out. It took time (and plenty of missteps) to realize that avoiding pain wasn’t the same as healing.

Learning to speak my truth, ask for support, and actually feel my emotions instead of burying them has been a lifelong process. I still get challenged by all the same things I used to run from, but now I know how to move through them—and I reach out when I need help. Healing isn’t about reaching some perfect state where nothing is hard anymore. It’s about knowing how to navigate what comes up with more clarity, more resilience, and more trust in yourself.

I’ve gone from being too afraid to speak as a kid to building a life and relationships that feel full, connected, and real. It’s work, but it’s worth it. And if you're ready to do this work, I’d love to support you in it.

What is trauma therapy?

Trauma therapy is about more than just talking—it’s about finding a way to carry the past differently so it doesn’t weigh you down. Whether your pain comes from a single event or years of overwhelm, healing isn’t about “getting over it” but learning to move through it with more ease and self-trust.

You don’t have to do this alone. In therapy, we create a steady, supportive space to help you process what’s been hard and reconnect with yourself. Healing is possible, and you’re not stuck—you’re just finding your way forward, one step at a time.
