I know this process because I’ve lived it.

I grew up shy and anxious, and afraid of social situations. I was unsure how to express myself, and learned to hold my feelings in, until I was ready to burst. I learned to play small and hide from myself and the world around. As I got older, I numbed out in the ways a lot of people do—through addictions, distraction, and shutting people out. It took time (and plenty of missteps) to realize that avoiding pain wasn’t the same as healing.

Engaging in psychotherapy, meditation, movement practices and breathwork has helped me learn to speak my truth, heal my trauma, ask for support, actually feel my emotions instead of burying them, and enjoy my life once again. I get challenged by all the same things I used to run from, but now I know how to move feel and move my way through these triggers, and when I need help, I reach out. Healing takes time and persistence, and it isn’t about reaching some perfect state where nothing is hard anymore. It’s about knowing how to navigate what comes up with more clarity, more resilience, and more trust in yourself.

I’ve gone from being too anxious to go to the grocery store and coffee shops out of fear of negative judgement to someone who has overcome social anxiety and has given many public presentations on topics I am passionate about. I have built a life and relationships that feel full, connected, and real. I believe healing is possible for everyone. Trauma therapy requires work, honesty, and discipline, but I know firsthand how worth it this work is. If you're ready to do this work, I’d love to support you in it.

Trauma can leave a lasting imprint…

Trauma can leave a lasting imprint—showing up as chronic tension, emotional numbness, anxiety, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Maybe you’re more on edge than you’d like to be, feeling disconnected from yourself, or just plain exhausted. Trauma therapy can help you make sense of these experiences and begin to soften the ways they live in your body and nervous system.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. And healing trauma doesn’t mean you have to relive every painful moment. Instead, we focus on creating safety, presence, and connection—so you can build a new relationship with your past and feel more grounded in the present.

My approach to trauma therapy is practical, embodied, and influenced by mindfulness and transpersonal psychology. This is not just talk therapy—it’s a space to reconnect with your breath, your body, and the quiet sense of knowing that healing is possible. We may work with meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness-based techniques to support you in feeling more at ease, more aligned, and more yourself.

“There is no timestamp on trauma. There isn’t a formula that you can insert yourself into to get from horror to healed. Be patient. Take up space. Let your journey be the balm.”
